What would you do?

If you could do anything you wanted in the world, without having to ask the question "HOW?", what would you do? Would you go sky diving? Maybe climb to the top of the Great Prymaids! Or maybe go underwater and explore the Titanic, oh yes! Or go on an African Safari? Maybe you're not into the whole 'adrenaline rush' thing...so maybe you would face a fear. Spend a perfect day with your perfect someone. Go on an unlimited shopping spree! The list could be endless! So what would you do? Where would you go? What experience would be that of a lifetime to you?

Chicago Life!

Me and Kim going out on the town Saturday night

This past week (July 16-25) I lived for a week in Chicago with my friend Kim. We did many things around the city and I developed new loves for things I never had before. I experienced new foods. And got a new haircut that I have never had before (Its shorter now, with hints of red.) I experienced train trouble, and how hectic it all is. (Read about it under the picture of the suitcases on the train) I went onto my first movie set, the set of Transformers 3. And I met an actor from the movie. I laughed. I cried. I even fell in the middle of a chicago intersection, crossing illegally, while it was pouring rain. I made new friends. I ate my weight in Cheesecake Factory...twice. I fell in love with the movie Inception. I lost things. But I gained better ones. And I had THE time of my life. I wish I could've stayed longer, but I'll be back one day. And now I'm already looking straight into the eyes of my next adventure.

So morning traffic on the subway trains are usually pretty hectic. Its even worse, if you're fighting all those people, while carrying around 80 pounds in a suitcase. Orginally, we always get on the train at Halsted and get off at Harlem, a straight shot that usually takes about 40 minutes. But one morning was a little different. This one morning in Chicago, we got on one train. And in the middle of all the stops, the train suddenly goes "Out of Service" So we are forced to get off and wait for the next one, which comes in 20 minutes. So we get on this one and it somehow became express and is passing all the stops, all the people going to work are furious. So one man in our car goes up and opens the trains doors! While we're zooming along. Which causes the train to stop and the conductor to come back. When he enters our car and sees the problem, he begins to fix the doors. But the man who opened them starts going off on the conductor and starts a yelling fight, then a woman from another car comes over and joins in the fight! It freaked us out pretty bad, Kim videoed it all. So the conductor calms everyone down and lets us off at the next train. Then another comes and we get on, and a few stops down we were told to get off again for no reason so we had to wait for another train! This one, atleast, finally took us to our stop.

Such great friends after the week :)

It will be such an amazing experience, I love it up there. All the different people, all the sites, stores and more! I could walk around the streets all day. Designing

The other day I was going through some old things in my room. Trying to clear unused/unwanted things so I could make room for some new things coming in. While I was doing that I came upon an old notebook I had when I was still in my single digit years. All throughout the notebook I had drawn wedding dresses of incredible shapes, sizes, and forms. Some of them, looking back, are really cute! And after going through and looking at them all, it made the wheels in my head start turning and now I think up new dress ideas in my head all the time! I don't know what it is. I get inspired by things I just see on the street. It's amazing all the designs that come into my head, but it's also really fun at the same time :)

Improv Everywhere --Frozen Grand Central

If you haven't seen this or any of their other youtube videos then you are missing out on life. It is called Improv Everywhere. They set up people to do silly and hilarious things and see what the people around them do. Examples include creating a fake tourist lane in NYC, a ghostbusters hunt, picking a random stranger and having all these people pretend its his birthday and that they know him, putting on musical's in food courts and grocery stores, and so many more. All the videos are so creative and very well put together. You just have to watch.

Eat Pray Love

Have you ever read the book Eat Pray Love? By Elizabeth Gilbert. It was given to me from a dear friend a few years ago, but I never took the time to read it. I was always reading other books or to busy to read that one. But this past weekend I finally picked it up and started reading it and I know that I am in love with it. It is simply marvelous. The author is so amazing of how she uses her words and describes every little thing and I swear I learn something new along every single page. But the book is about her travels to Italy, India, and Indonesia. The book is then divided into three books, each about her time spent in each area. I am currently finishing up the Italy portion. But throughout all of the text she includes Italian words that she has learned, her favorites, others favorites, or ones that just apply to the situation that she is speaking of. She is so in love with the Italian language that it made me want to start learning Italian! And I actually did research on downloading some clips to listen to, to learn a few words but then I remembered...I am part German. I have taken a german class for three years now and I have visited Germany twice (Once to visit my family from there and another time for a student exchange) I speak german sometimes at home with my mother and grandmother, who were both born in Germany. (My Omi -- german for grandmother -- was actually born on D Day in germany, talk about cool. I hope to write a book about it one day.) But when I read how well Liz (the author) understands and can communicate in Italian, it showed me how little I know about the German language. So as of today I am going to try to learn more about the german language every single day so that soon I can actually be bilingual with both languages.

This is my new goal in life. Now we'll just see how long it takes me to get there.

Google

I'll admit I am a Google addict. I love it. I use it countless times a day. My favorite thing is getting on Google and seeing that they have changed the Google sign to fit whatever is going on that day. One thing I use the most is Google Images. It can always help me find beautiful images or quotes or anything I'm looking for. But recently Google introduced a new thing where you can change Google's white back ground and make it whatever you want! I got so into finding the perfect background that I couldn't choose just one! So right now I choose some pretty lights for my background, but I garuntee that will change at least 7 times by the end of the day.

California Dorks (Parody of Katy Perry's California Gurls) by Skyway Flyer

So obviously I love music just like any other person but I also love parodys. Not bad ones, that are just stupid and pointless. But ones with actual funny lyrics and good camera work and more. I love finding them and watching them. My favorite one right now is one about California Girls. But its called California Dorks by jasonmunaymusic on youtube. It's just as original as a parody could be and makes me laugh :)

Summer...

Summer.
Isn't summer supposed to be this amazing time of year?
Full of carefree happiness?
Well right now, summer is my busiest time of this year.
I have so much to do, things I want to do, things I hope to do.
It seems like I'm making a new list everyday.
And I can't start one project with out it making me think about another project that I need to do and it all just jumbles together in my head.
Does this happen to everyone?
I'm working on it.
Because we're already a month into summer and I haven't done as much as I'd ever think I would.
Maybe this will change soon.
I hope so.
Cause right now my ratio of things on all my lists to things done is like 1:1,000,000

Today I learned...

So this morning I was reading yesterdays comics

I was on the comic strip, "Peanuts"

And Charlie Brown was talking about how

In a few thousand years the "Big Dipper" will be gone.

This is couldn't believe.

So I researched it.

And sure enough,

In about 50,000 years (if the world is still here)

The Big Dipper will no longer be visible because

All the stars except two (Dubhe and Alkaid) are

Apart of the Ursa Major Moving Group.

Which shift incongruously with one another as a whole.

So eventually they will shift so differently that

The Big Dipper will no longer be recognizable.

Wow.

Just another song...

There are so many songs in this world.
Good songs, bad songs, and songs that just speak to you.
It's amazing how a song can come along,
And just state exactly what is going on in your life.
Or make you think and realize something that you need to realize.
Sometimes its just the mood of the song,
That could just make you feel better.
And then other times,
Just focusing on the lyrics and what they are saying,
helps you in your life with something you were struggling with.
It could be your favorite song
Or just another song that came on the radio.
Either way, Whatever song,
Each one influences you in some way or another.

A Place In This World

For some people it's easy, they figure out their purpose in life early on because of something they do or something that happens to them. For other people though, it's a big harder. They don't realize until really late in life what exactly they want to do or feel they are supposed to do. And for other people, it's a mixture of both of these things. Maybe you think you have figured out your calling, but then something new and amazing comes along and you think, "Wow, I'd love to be doing that." And you just live in that process all your life. I think I am part of the third group, growing up I always thought I was meant to be a teacher, but then that dream changed to a designer, and now my dream in life is to become a writer. But is it possible to have your heart set on so many dreams? Can you really accomplish all your heart desires? I plan to find out, because I have a journal full of dreams and things to do in life. And I plan to accomplish all of them. What is your dream?

Who Knows

This is going to be a blog about all I see or think about during the day.
It may be my opinion on something or just a cool thing I saw online today.
Who knows.
Not even I.
Because I won't think about what I am going to type in my blogs.
I'm just going to wait and see what's on my mind.
I could be save the earth happy or muder someone mad.
Or I could have read some great book.
Or might not even have a post for a day.
Just to keep everyone guessing.
But in the end..
Who knows.
You'll just have to wait and find out.
